Former Bolton star Mustapha Riga has been appointed by the BA United board to become the club’s new Chief Executive.

media reports indicate a five-member board chaired by Peter Nimo met at the weekend and settled on the former Holland junior international.

Riga hails from Sunyani and is married to one of the queens in the traditional area.

BA United, relegated from the Ghana Premier League last season, due to boardroom wrangling which saw Roy Arthur removed.

Riga had rich experience from playing for Levante, Vitesse Arnheim and Sparta Rotterdam.

He hung up his boots after leaving Indian Super League side Pune FC last season.
