Republic Day Richoco Health Walk on June 28

Accra, June 17, GNA - This year's Republic Day Richoco Health Walk will be held in Accra on Saturday, June 28. The Walk which will start from the Maximum Gym Fitness Centre at Dansoman through some principal streets of Accra and end at the forecourt of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium. Nana Ampratwum, Commercial Officer of Cadbury Ghana Limited, organizers of the Walk said about 1,500 participants including Keep Fit Clubs and corporate bodies are expected to participate in the 25-kilometre event which is being organized by Maximum Gym Centre with sponsorship from Cadbury Ghana Limited and Voltic Mineral Water. He said the aim of the event was to sensitize the public on the need to embrace the idea of exercising the body. The Commercial Officer said there was the need for the citizens to remain healthy at all times through exercises as they seek their socio-economic development. Mr Joseph Ade Coker, former Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association and Mr Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, Mayor of Accra are expected to join the Walk which starts at 0600 hours. 17 June 08 .
