Renard Herve confirms interest in Jordan Ayew

Lille coach Renard Herve has confirmed his transfer interest in Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew.

The former Cote d’Ivoire coach has joined the French club on a three-year deal making the player he worked with at Sochaux his top transfer target.

Jordan Ayew left Olympique Marseille to join FC Lorient on a four-year contract which he has played a full season.

Renard said of his interest in the Black Stars player: “Jordan Ayew? It is my intention [to sign him], in fact, I saw that it was leaked to the press.

“I spent five wonderful months with him at Sochaux. I hope he can join us, but we have to see the negotiations because he is under contract with Lorient.”
