Referee Lamptey for another international assignment

Accra, July 9, GNA - Referee Joseph Lamptey, one of Ghana's leading referees has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to handle another international assignment. Referee Lamptey will be in the centre of action when Platinum Stars of South Africa clash against SC Sfaxien of Tunisia in the first leg of the 1/8 stage of the Confederations Cup Competitions this weekend. Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals that the referee who has so far handled several international assignments will be assisted on the lines by Haruna Ayuba and David Laryea respectively. Referee Lamptey, who is a staff of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) and his colleagues will leave Ghana on Friday for the said game. Referee Lamptey was recently the centre man for the joint World and Africa Cup qualifier between Morocco and Mauritania.
