Real Sportive split points with Hearts

Tema, March 16, GNA - Tema Real Sportive and Accra Hearts of Oak settled for a goalless drawn game in their epic match to end the first round of the Onetouch Premier League at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Determined to appease their numerous fans after a number of setbacks in the recent times, Hearts playing under the instructions of their Israeli coach, Eval Lachman, piled up pressure after Wa-based Referee Seidu Bomison had signaled both teams into action. The incessant pressure on their opponents earned them the first corner-kick in the eighth minutes but the chance was wasted. Hearts' dare-devil Bernard Don Bortey nearly scored the opener for his side in the 20th minute but found his shot missing the target narrowly.

Six minutes later, Richard Yeboah of Sportive was put through but Hearts' goalie Laud Quartey denied him from causing any damage, with a brilliant save.

With Ekow Ghansah, Eric Gawu and Solomon Amaosi combining beautifully upfront, Hearts returned the heat on their opponents but could not break the deadlock as the defenders of Sportive pivoted around Solomon Adjei, Joel Adjei and Richard Yeboah held them at bay. The second session was not different from the first, as both teams tried to break the deadlock but could not find the net till full time.
