Razak Ibrahim won't give up on Black Stars

Former national team star, Abdul Razak Ibrahim, says he has still not given up on playing for the national team again.

Razak who is in top shape at Israeli top flight side Hapoel Acre was counting on the recent burst of form since joining Acre in February to have pushed him for a plce in Ghana’s World Cup squad.

The midfielder was however not named in coach Milovan Rajevac’s provisional 30-man list released last week.

“I’m a bit disappointed because though its been a long time since I played for Ghana, I have rediscovered my form and with the spate of injuries espeially to midfielders, I though I will get a look in. I’m disappointed but there’s nothing I can do,” he said.

He continued: “The only thing is to get behind the team, I am a Ghanaian you know.

“Even if I am not in the squad for the World Cup, I will work hard to get into the team after the World Cup,” Razak told 90 MINUTES from Israel.
