In-form Stabaek Ghanaian winger Raymond Gyasi is delighted with his performance after scoring in the side's 3-0 demolishing of Aalesunds FK to advance to the quarter-finals of the Norwegian Cup match on Thursday night.

The powerful wideman opened the scoring in what turned out to be an incredible evening for the youngster at the Haugesund Stadion.

The former Ghana youth star underlined his potential with another textbook performance for the home side.

And the former Roda JC player, who triumphed over his senior brother Edwin Gyasi, feels elated over the development.

"It was important to turn back after the loss. Everyone in the stadium could see how hungry we were to win this match. If we play so well each match, we can be a big surprise in the cup, he said after the match.

"It feels good to score my first goal. My brother was so proud of me that I played well and scored a goal. But the most important thing is that we move on to the next round.

Stabaek will take on Lillestrøm in the next stage of the NM competition and the Ghanaian remains defiant about their chances.

“I trust the team and my teammates and I mean we have the qualities needed to go all the way to the final. We do not fear anyone, he said.

“We must take the opponents seriously, and Lillestrøm is, after all, a derby, so it will be a tough fight. We have to go there and play our own game, so we can beat them."
