Queens will ride on - Paha

Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, Oct 31, GNA - Ghana's Black Queens coach, Isaac Paha says the Queens will ride on their rich quality of '1one touch' play to ensure they topple Cameroon when the two sides meet in their second group B game at Ugheli on Wednesday.
The coach told the GNA Sports that his team has rehearsed a winnable strategy to ensure they pluck all three points to keep them on top of the group and ensure their safe berth to the semi finals. 'We have learnt to play what we call the 'one touch' football in order to dominate our opponents.'
The Indomitable Lioness known for their physical play drew one all with the Democratic Republic of Congo in their opener. Coach Paha acknowledges that even though the Cameroonians will come tough, the exact attitude to cow them to submission is in the offing, he added.
=93Yes, they are physical and strong, but no matter the size of every head, there is a cap to fit it and for us, we are that cap that will fit them well enough.=94
The Queens, according to the coach has been instructed to avoid body contact by being swift on the ball and employ fast play. He said provisions have also been made to handle the Cameroonians fast wings and their slippery strikers.
=93My understanding is that they have such swift wings, whilst their strikers can shoot accurately and I have made the relevant provisions for them=94.
The Queens were gifted a 2-1 victory by skipper Adjoa Bayor when they met the Lioness in a semi final clash played in Warri in 2002. The coach told the GNA Sports he was hoping to rely on the hunger of the team to shrug off any challenge that will hinder their progress in the bi-annual event.
The Ghanaians who are tipped among the favourites to win the competition are housed alongside Cameroon, Mali and DR Congo.
