Pimpong in hospital for rib check

Ghana striker Razak Pimpong went to hospital on Wednesday for checks to determine the nature of a rib injury, team officials said.

Pimpong was injured towards the end of Ghana's 2-1 victory over the United States that ensured their passage to the last 16 of the World Cup. He struggled through the final minutes.
