Just like head Coach of Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has cautioned players of the national Under-20 side who have been invited to join the senior national team, Black Stars ahead of the last World Cup Qualifier against Mali in Kumasi and a friendly against Angola in Luanda, Black Satellite winger, Abeiku Quansah has also added his voice to that of the Serbia trainer urging his colleagues to prove their worth now that they have been invited to the national camp.

In an exclusive interview from his French base, the petit forward whose powerful bullet handed the Satellite a ticket to the final of the World Youth Championship after recording a 3-2 victory over Korea, expressed his happiness for the his colleagues claiming the Serbia trainer, his technical team and the Stars management needs to be commended for the decision to include the six players into the Stars list immediately after ruling the World at the Youth level as he claimed that will go a long to boost the players morale and that of his other colleagues.

“This shows clearly that all of us (Black Satellite players) have great chances of earning call-ups into the national team as to when officials finds it appropriate” he said.

However, Quansah has challenged his colleagues especially those joining the team for the first time, goalkeeper, Daniel Agyei, A.C Milan’ ‘new boy’ Dominic Adiyiah and defender Daniel Addo to prove their worth should they the opportunity to feature in either of the games.

According to him, a magnificent outing will see other Satellite players earning future call-ups into the team

“I have already communicated with some of them and told them play above themselves should they get the opportunity to feature. I will again give them a call a day before each of the matches to wish them well” he added.

Asked whether he was expecting to be handed a call to join the Stars for both the Mali and Angolan friendly, after his magnificent showing at the World Youth Championship, Quansah said, every Ghanaian player’s dream is to feature for the Stars but I strongly believe God’s time is the best”.

“All that I need to do now is to support my colleagues in prayers to excel should they get the opportunity to feature in either games since that alone will go a long way to brighten every members of the Satellite team chances of earning a future call-up” he said.

“ I remember goalkeeper Richard Kingson calling to talk to most of the players especially goalkeeper Daniel Agyei before our final game against Brazil in Egypt and urging us to go all out in the Brazil game and that our performance has really marveled him (Kingson) and has shown clearly that the Black Stars team has bright future. That alone made me feel am a material for the Stars in the near future” he added.
