Proton Sports Services To Host Second National Player Awards

The second National Player Awards event comes off at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Proton Sports Services, under the backing of the Ghana Football Association and the Retired Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG), unveiled the Award scheme to honour the country’s former and current national team players.

The Award, dubbed ‘National Player Award’, was first held last year under very low patronage, however this year’s ceremony hopes to attract a bigger and better audience..

According to Kurt Okraku, the CEO of Proton Sports, the organisers, their aim is to acknowledge the efforts of individuals who have represented Ghana’s national teams.:

“It is a big attempt at honouring men and women of this land who have dedicated enormous amount of their lifetime and energies to make Ghana proud at different levels of football.” He said.

The official launch of the award ceremony will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2013 at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium. It will reveal the various category and incentives of the Award scheme.

Kurt Okraku and his staff have been working behind the scenes for a long time and they hope to put up a better event than last year.
