English-born Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng made his English Premier League debut on Saturday by coming off the bench as a late substitute for Crystal Palace in their 1-1 draw at Swansea City.
The 20-year-old came off the Eagles bench on the 78th minute mark to take the place of French international Yohan Cabaye at the Liberty Stadium.
Palace resisted a strong temptation from lower-tier side Plymouth Argyle to release the promising forward back on loan and manager Alan Pardew handed him his debut for the game.
Palace came from behind to claim a point from the game through a Scott Dann effort after Gylfi Sigurdsson had opened the scoring for the Swans with a free-kick for his fifth goal from his last six games.
Andre Ayew, Ghana's vice captain, started the game for the South Wales side and played until he was replaced in the ten minutes of the game.
Boateng made his debut on an afternoon Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor also played his first game for the club.
Boateng, who can play in three different roles in midfield, is at Palace together with Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah who is nursing a knee injury - anterior cruciate ligament injury.
