Project Brazil 2014: When are we starting?

As we beat our chest for job well done and also lick our wounds for not reaching semi final of the World Cup in South Africa, we must not loose sight of the huge task and responsibility that we have put on ourselves by the performance of the Black stars. We have achieved what Cameroon and Senegal did but what happen to them after reaching the quarter finals?
History will not forgive us if we wait and did not qualify for the next mundial or failed to go beyond the first round.

The operation search party for Strikers must start now and GFA and its coaches should start looking for players that can put the ball in the net when opportunity comes. Our inability to kill the game when we are top was the bane of our exit. Numerous chances we wasted if were converted; we will be watching Ghana on Tuesday. Black Stars took 58 shots on goal but managed to score only 5 goals in 5 matches played. An average of a goal per matched, no wonder we are referred to as One Goal project.
As we prepare for the next edition of the competition we must ensure that no FIFA international friendly goes without our playing a match. We may not be able to get same players to come for every match but we can rotate the players so that at any point in time we have players that we take a look at their performance.

My fervent prayer is that we will not let the $15million bonanza become a problem which will bring disharmony in the GFA and the Government, any attempt by any group to rock the boat should be avoided by all and sundry. We should not revisit what happen after Germany. Let us put some money into development of the sports in the regions. Attempt should be make to at least have decent facilities for the local league at every regional capital. There should be improvement on the Koforidua ,Ho, Sunyani ,Cape Coast, Wa and Bolgatanga to what we can called a stadium. If by getting to quarter final, we are given $15m what would have happen if we have won the cup. Please football is lucrative and therefore we should take more strategic approach in managing it.

There should be improvement in sports medicine and research sponsored by the GFA to improve the performance of our sportsmen and women. More Academies should be encouraged and supported. Local coaches should be supported for further training to improve the local league.

This is my piece of advice; my last word is please, no politics with our passion.
