Former AshantiGold and Black Stars defender, Princeton Owusu Ansah is in the classroom preparing to obtain his pro certificate EURO level A, after gaining his level B certificate, SportsInGhana.com can reveal.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, the stylish star said he is preparing himself to take up a club in Europe or Ghana, then try his hands on the national team of Ghana.
He expressed that he could have been playing for a top club in England, had it not been a serious injury he had on his knee.
According to the handsome player, his desire was to feature for one of the top four in England, that is Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool, but he has to make do with his new role as a coach and inspiration to young stars.
Princeton Owusu Ansah hinted that he features for an amateur side known as Park View FC, with whom he won the league, Fair Play Cup and the Best Player Award in London. He stressed that it is not easy playing in the cold, but it is full of fun and his experience as a top star has helped him a lot and that helps him to motivate others to give off their best.
"I am training very hard to come back home to help Ghana. I know one day the mantle will fall on the locals after the foreign managers have left for good. I know it will reach our time," he said.
Owusu Ansah is one of the few Ghana ex-players who are now training to become top coaches. Others in the same category are Charles Kobina Akunnor, Nii Odartey Lamptey, Mohammed Gargo, Leo Moffat, Joe Addo, Yaw Preko among others.
