Primeval Media – the nation’s leading sports event management outfit, has hinted at collaborating with the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to help solve the faulty flood lights at the Accra Sports stadium.

This comes in the wake of another dreadful occurrence in the game between TP Mazembe and select side from Ghana, when the match was called off due to poor visibility.

Jeff Asare, Communications Manager of Primeval Media, said they have accepted the challenge and willing to help solve the problem, but added that, interwoven nature of the stadium makes it difficult to solve the problem at a go.

He noted that, they will team up with the NSA to help raise funds to service the flood lights.

He said, “It is a very big challenge because it has to do with the Sports Ministry and the National Sports Authority.

“We are considering that (solving the lighting problem) and are in talks with the NSA to see how best we can solve it.

“We are looking to see if it will be possible to move some of the bulbs from Baba Yara and Takoradi to the Accra Sports stadium”. He stated.

He added, “You need about 280 bulbs to get the stadium well lighted and each bulb cost 100 dollars but we are going to get it right”.

Primeval Media will be hosting a Unity Cup in June 2016, with a number of global football icons expected to participate.
