Powers and Banku agree to fight again

On Thursday at a press conference held at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra, the ballyhooed rematch between Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko and Ayitey Powers was officially announced as the two pugilists agreed to the terms in the stipulated contract by putting pen to paper.

The card, promoted by Livewire Events and Landmark Promotions, is sponsored by Joy Dadi Bitters and will be supported by Black Avenue Sports, Bukom Boxing and Ako boxing. There will be live performances by award-winning Ghanaian musicians, including Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, D-Black and Kwaw Kese.

At the press conference the two boxers addressed the media. Ayitey Powers said, “This time Bukom Banku is not going to get it easy, I will make sure that I get my revenge. Even the prize at stake is also my target and I will be going all out come December 26.” The undefeated Kamako angrily responded, “Powers is not a boxer that can stop me, even the whole Kumasi Township can support him but I will give him a beat of his life. I’m surely going to beat him because I want to keep my perfect record intact.”
