Portsmouth Interested In Appiah

Stephen Appiah’s agent has revealed that Portsmouth have contacted him regarding the midfielder’s future.

The 27-year-old has been linked with the Fratton Park outfit for three years and it appears Harry Redknapp is still keen on his talents.

The former Juventus player, who joined Fenerbahce three seasons ago, has been offered a long-term contract with Spanish side Racing Santander.

From his part, Redknapp is desperate to sign an experienced midfielder before the transfer deadline, after losing Pedro Mendes and Sulley Muntari

“I received a concrete offer from Racing Santander and Portsmouth are calling us practically every day,” Appiah’s agent Luca Pagani told The Portsmouth News
