Aduana Stars Coach Aristica Cioaba has expressed satisfaction at the level of discipline and cooperation exhibited by players of the club, barely a month and a half, after taking over as coach of the club.

The coach couldn’t hide his elation coming back again to assume full responsibilities as the club’s coach, indicating that he was having a very good working relationship with support from management, players and supporters, we are “working as a family”.

“The players understand me and I understand them too, they have changed now and they are working hard match after match trying to improve. I know the spirit in the team since I have been their coach before and this appears a major boost from the fans”, he stated.

Speaking to the GNA Sports, in an interview in Dormaa Ahenkro, after their training at the Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium, he blamed the team's defeat to Berekum Chelsea during Match Day seven to injuries suffered by his two goalkeepers Silas Damptey and Steve Adams.

“In my coaching life I have never encountered this situation. I was extremely angered by that experience that caused our defeat to Berekum Chelsea, but we are learning to put the past behind us and looking forward positively to win our next matches”, he added.

Coach Cioaba expressed optimism that management would consider signing on two additional goal keepers to add up to four the total number of goal keepers currently in the club.

“At least I believe we should have four goalkeepers at a time, not to create the possibility for the situation, which occurred in Berekum. I, however, do understand the position of Management”, he added.

On his assessment of the condition of the pitch, he stated that he was very disappointed about the poor nature of the pitch, but was very certain management was working step by step to put it in proper shape.

“If the pitch is in good condition, it will largely go to help the performance of Aduana Stars at least contribute to winning a point for the club,” the Coach noted.

The club has currently solicited the assistance of two goalies from the Royal Football Academy in Dormaa Ahenkro, as Silas Damptey has still not recovered from his injury picked up during their match against Berekum Chelsea.

The team is, however, managing with the two main keepers Steve Adams and Joseph Addo, who are in form, together with the other two lads drawn from the academy.

It’s not immediately clear whether or not management would take the decision to sign on the two goal keepers from the academy into the club.
