Reports reaching sportscrusader.com desk has it that Chairman of Players Status Committee, Maxwell Opoku Agyemang has resigned from his position.

Mr. Maxwell, an experienced and versatile law teacher who has served as chairman of the Status Committee since 2011, honorably relinquished his post on Friday.

The law teacher tendered in his resignation on Friday and his decision to step down from his position is not known though sources say his decision is personal.

But the source further stated that Opoku Agyemang decision to relinquish his position could be due to the Ghana Football Association decision to send a report on Agyemang’s ruling on the Dreams Football Club – Tema Youth FC case to the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Lawyer Opoku Agyemang was assigned to handle Dreams FC – Tema Youth Fc case which involved a player, Cudjoe Mensah / Daniel Gorzar registering two different names for two different clubs — Amidaus Professionals and Dreams FC. The said player, Cudjoe Mensah / Daniel Gorzar was found guilty and banned from football for one year, but left the club, Dreams Fc unpunished.

The Ghana football association report sent to the CAS is a sign of questioning his credibility and he is feels disappointed by the decision of the FA’s hierarchy.
