Peter Ofori Quaye to play against Iraklis

Olympiakos and Ghana striker Peter Ofori Quaye followed a personal training program on Saturday after the club doctor, Christos Darras, found that the player has a heamatoma in his knee. On the other hand, Mr. Darras is not worried about the player and is expected that the young striker will be playing on Wednesday against Iraklis at Kaftatzoglio for the 12th round game of the Greek championship. Originally there were some fears that the player would miss the game against Iraklis.

With that situation present Olympiakos would have to travel to Thessaloniki with one striker only -Alekos Aleksandris- since Giovanni is still in Brazil, Gabriel Alves is sidelined by Takis Lemonis, and Lampros Choutos is injured. Since Ofori Quaye will be playing, Takis Lemonis has now some alternatives with his two strikers and can also count on Stelios Giannakopoulos as well.

As far as Ze Elias and Alves go, they trained by themselves for the second day in a row after arriving in Greece late from their holiday break. As it is... logical Giovanni missed the training session as well since he hasn't returned from his country. The Brazilian striker has not made contact with PAE Olympiakos, a move that has the Olympiakos management and coaching staff up in arms.

The Olympiakos players had their last training session of the year 2000 at 11:30GR on Sunday morning (12/31) at the Renti training grounds without any problems arising. Olympiakos will train next on Monday (01/01) at 17:00GR.
