Parkinson excels at Achimota Seniors golf

Frank Parkinson, a senior member of the Taylor Woodrow Management Team, returned 72 net to win the third quarterly Achimota Golf Club Seniors championship played at Achimota in Accra on Sunday.

He beat Kwame Saarah-Mensah and Samuel Odame on count- back in the one-day competition which was sponsored by Seniors Group of the Club.

Kofi Agyemang Agyekum placed fourth with 74 points while Brigadier Joseph Odei came fifth with 75 net.

The Ladies event was won by Florence Etwi-Barimah with 72 net, Mary Asafu-Adjaye came second with 73 net wh ile Beatrice Hampton took the third position with 77net.

Mr John Atta-Nyamekye, Acting Chairman of the Achimota Golf Club Seniors Group called for the setting up of a revolving fund to enable the e Group to be self financing its competitions.
