PSV to honour Eric Addo

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven will honour Ghana defender Eric Addo on Saturday for his ten-year sell-out service to the club.

The 30-year-old left PSV this summer after joining Roda JC Kerkrade on a permanent basis.

As the two sides clash in Eindhoven in an Eredivise match later this Saturday, PSV offficials have decided to honour the player.

Addo was key in the Dutch side's success of six league titles and several other truimphs.

He also played in the Uefa Champions League as well.

Addo began his career at Club Brugge in 1996 and over three seasons at the Jan Breydelstadion made 65 appearances, scoring five goals.

At Brugges, he won the Belgian Championship. He was voted the 1997-98 Young Belgian Footballer of the Year by Belgian journalists and Ghana Player of the Year the same season.

Addo also won the Belgian Ebony Shoe Award in the Belgian league.
