PLB reverts to original league fixtures

Rescheduling of Glo Premier League Fixtures

The Premier League Board (PLB) and Ghana Football Association (GFA) have decided to stick with the original days for the fixtures of the 30th Week GLO Premier League matches.

The PLB on Monday announced the decision to have seven matches played on Saturday so that Sunday's coronation match between Kotoko and Tema Youth can properly celebrate the Porcupine Warriors' title success.

But with the Black Queens playing Cameroon on Saturday in an African Women's Championship qualifier in Accra, the GFA/PLB places a huge premium on the national team match.

We are of the view that the entire country must troop to the Ohene Djan Stadium on Saturday to rally behind the Black Queens to ensure success.

As such we have decided to revert to the original day for the 30th Week fixtures so all league matches will be played on Sunday.

The coronation match between Kotoko and Tema Youth will also go ahead as planned for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
