The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana believes Asante Kotoko can win the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

A statement released on Monday read: ''The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) congratulates Kumasi Asante Kotoko on qualifying to the group stages of the 2018/19 CAF Confederations Cup.

''The Porcupine Warriors completed the double over Coton Sport de Garoua following a 2-1 victory on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium - advancing to the next stage on a 5-3 aggregate score after beating the Cameroonians 3-2 in Yaounde a week ago.

''Kotoko are pitted against Sudanese champions Al Hilal and Zambian duo of Zesco United and Nkana FC in Group C.

''As the mother body of all professional footballers in Ghana, the PFAG has strode with the team every step of the way during their campaign, culminating in successful qualification to the next phase of the competition.

''We are very more confident that the team, under the expert guidance of coach C.K Akunnor, will make the nation proud and clinch the ultimate.

''We urge all Ghanaians to back the Porcupine Warriors as they strive to lift the flag of Ghana high.''
