Our title drought must end – Gnagne

The Phobians have been without a league trophy since the 2008/2009 season The Phobians have been without a league trophy since the 2008/2009 season

Hearts of Oak defender, Robin Gnagne says the playing body must ensure that they win the league in the coming season.

The Phobians have been without the league trophy since the 2008/2009 season, a development that is a source of worry for their teeming fans. Their league title drought, according to Gnagne needs to end.

“Our vision of going into next season is to win the Ghana Premier League. Indeed, we had good outings last season, one that got us into the final of the MTN FA Cup, which we lost to Kotoko” Gnagne said in an interview FootballMadeInGhana.com.

For him, nothing will appease the fans more than the league trophy and the players will do all in their power to see its fruitfulness.

“Anytime you meet a supporter even on the streets all they say is that we should give them the league trophy. Some go as far as saying they don’t want any other trophy; that will be the top most priority going into the new season”.

“Indeed, any other trophy that comes our way like the FA Cup, Presidents Cup, G-8 among others, we will do our best to win them as well” he added.
