FIFA rejects Ghanaian broadcasters

Ghanaian radio broadcasters might be unable to cover this summer?s world cup in Germany.

This follows football?s world governing body; FIFA?s decisions to reject the applications for accreditation submitted by Ghanaian Radio broadcasters.

The deadline for reapplication is set for Sunday Jan 15.

The general secretary of the Ghana Football Association Kofi Nsiah explains that no Ghanaian broadcaster has the rights to do radio commentary from Germany.

?It is rather unfortunate but that?s the situation we are faced with. FIFA frowns on radio broadcast of the world cup and in our case, we don?t have the broadcast rights to the 2006 world cup.?

?No Ghanaian radio broadcasting has the rights to broadcast from the Germany. They can only do reviews and previews that is if they go to over the competition.?
