Brong Ahafo Circles Chairman for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, John Kennedy has revealed that after the meeting of the various Circles at Menhyia on Thursday, Chief Executive Officer of the club Opoku Nti will leave the club.

Opoku Nti has come under intense pressure after Kotoko failing to perform up to expectation and a have been hugely criticized by the various Circles of the club.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Kennedy said, “After our meeting with various Circles on Thursday at Menhyia, Opoku Nti will leave because he has failed the club”.

“When this current management and board members took the decision of appointing Coach David Duncan as the head coach of the club, we the various Circle Chairmen were invited so what prevented the management from informing us that this is the decision we want to take concerning David Dancun”. He demanded.

“The problem within the club is not just a matter of sacking the coach but the management of the club is a problem for the club because the players are enough for the coach so the question is why are the players not performing so for me the management is now a big problem to the club”.

He also expressed his thought by the management telling Coach Duncan to step aside. He said, “I totally disagree with the management of the club telling Coach David Duncan to step aside as the head coach of the club without even telling the board”.

“I agree with the various Circles and supporters of the club saying that Opoku Nti and his management should leave but no doubt Opoku Nti has done enough for this club but the simple truth is that the club need fresh ideas and I don’t understand why Otumfour has kept long in taking a decision for sacking Opoku Nti and his management because we are tired with him and I know in no time the final decision will be taken after our Circles meeting”. He told Asempa Sports.
