Opoku Agyemang wins African Super Cup

African Champions League winners Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia defeated African Confederation Cup title holders CS Sfaxien 2-1 on Saturday (February 23rd) in Radès to take the African Super Cup.

Captain Mohamed Amine Chermiti and Radhouane Felhi scored for ES Sahel in the 4th and 48th minutes respectively, while Ghana-born Opoku Agyemang netted for Sfaxien in the 26th. This is the second Super Cup for ESS since their win in 1997.

With eight African titles, Etoile are just one behind Zamalek of Egypt. Al-Ahly of Cairo top the list with 12 successes, including three in the Super Cup.
