Opoku Agyemang ruled out of selection against Nigeria

Ghana Under-23 striker Opoku Agyemang is not available for selection in this afternoon’s final All Africa Games eliminator against Nigeria, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 21-year-old speedster has pain in his knee and has been advised by the medical team to sit out the crucial tie.
The Qatar-based player missed the first leg due to the injury.
He suffered a knock during Friday’s training session but gave the technical team a glimmer of hope by completing the final session on Saturday.
“I discussed with the team doctors and they told me not to risk it. I have reported the problem to my club and I run further checks to know the extent of the injury,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
Agyemang suffered the injury in February last year and missed the Fifa World Cup finals in South Africa as a result.
He was one of Ghana’s key performers at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
