Odum blames local coaches for low quality in League

Ex-Real Sportive coach Edward Odum insists local trainers must shoulder some responsibility for the perceived low quality of the Ghanaian top-flight.

Odum says some local coaches lack the technical know-how to impact positively on players, leading to the widespread claims of low quality in the top-flight.

"Some of the coaches are not helping our game at all. Obviously, we have talented players in the country, but I believe they are not getting the right coaching," he told Kumasi-based Boss FM

"Some of my friends cannot even teach some of the basics of the game, and I believe this has contributed to the low standard of our game.
