Kwesi Nyantakyi has been duly sworn in for a third successive term as President of the Ghana Football Association.

Nyatakyi took the oath of secrecy and that of his office to legally ratify his re-election for a fresh four-year term.

The lawyer ascended to his current position in 2005 after serving as Vice chairman to Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe.

His election ushered the GFA into a democratic era of electing members into key positions including President and members of the Executive Committee from the regime of government appointment.

Nyantakyi then witnessed the swearing-in of the new members of his Executive Committee in the oath administered by Supreme Court judge Justice Anin Yeboah.

Three individuals; Abdulai Alhassan, Francis Dogbatse and Roy Arthur who were elected onto the Executive Committee were however exempted from taking the oaths due to a legal challenge mounted by their opponents during the electioneering period.

The newly elected President and Executive Committee members will run Ghana football for the next four years.
