Nuttall: Why Hearts are without a win in GPL

Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall has shed light on the Phobians' winless status in the Ghana Premier League after matchday two.

The Accra-based side currently have two points to their name following scoreless draws with Inter Allies and Medeama.

Although Nuttall was present at both matches, his job as head coach of the 2000 Caf Champions League winners began after the game against Allies.

“I think because it was the first game [of the season], whoever we played against, came out of the blocks and had a good go,” Nuttall told his club's official website.

"And then, of course, Inter Allies were playing Hearts of Oak and it was a big game for them.

"So those things plus the pitch and the weather at the start of the game; I thought we stuck at it very well.

“We changed our motivation very well and we had chances to win the game and even though when you first look at the game live; you think Inter Allies had some chances but when you go through the videos, actually they did not have that much and we still kept going. That’s good but since then we have improved from that game.

"Our organisation from that game has improved; our movement without the ball has also improved, so that is progress.”

Hearts will hope to have more luck in their away clash with Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast on Wednesday.

The Phobians are seeking to win their first league title since 2009.
