The Board and Management of Aduana Stars FC have tasked their coach Nurudeen Ahmed to win this year’s Ghana Premier League which kicks off this weekend.
With the investment made into the squad ahead of the start of the campaign, the club believes it is well placed to challenge for the title this season and has therefore mandated their technical team headed by Coach Ahmed to deliver it.
Chief Executive Officer of the club, Albert Commey told sportscrusader.com at the launch of the competition in Accra on Wednesday that they expect to be serious title contenders this season and will be going for it.
“The technical team is aware of our plans for this campaign and that is to win the title when the season ends,” he said, adding that “every necessary resources needed to carry out that objective will be placed at their disposal”.
And Coach Ahmed has accepted that challenge and having been working out a strategy that will see them through at the end of the campaign.
This huge task to be Ghana champions for a second time starts at the Tema Sport Stadium on Sunday when they come up against Inter Allies in what is expected to be a tough encounter.
Aduana Stars have lost at Tema every time they have visited the Harbour City to play Inter Allies and this could be another banana peel for them.
However, Coach Ahmed is confident he charges will rise up to the occasion and get a result that will set them on course towards achieving their title ambitions this season.
