Northern Region Milo Sports Open In Yendi

Yendi (Northern Region), 14 Oct. The ninth annual Northern Region Schools' Milo soccer and volleyball championship for 15 secondary and technical schools opened at the Yendi Secondary School at Yendi yesterday. The one-week competition is being sponsored by Nestle (Ghana) Limited. Mr L.T. Tingbani, Tamale Municipal Director of Education, commended the company for sponsoring the Games which have unearthed a lot of talented soccer and volleyball players who have been absorbed into national teams. The Headmaster of Yendi Secondary School, Mr Shani Abdul-Rahman, called for discipline among the participants to ensure an incident- free competition.
