The first set of elections to select by vote Chairmen of the Regional Football Associations and to the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association take place today in the three Northern regions.

Six candidates are contesting elections in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions.

Adam Munkaila and Karimu Mama Star go head-to-head for the chairmanship position of the Northern Region RFA.

Three candidates, Salifu Shaibu Zida, Yakubu Braimah and Dagbila Gambila Boison are the contestants for the Upper East Region RFA.

Alhaji D. S. Yahaya is the sole candidate in the elections for the Upper West RFA.
