General Captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan has stated emphatically that he cannot be forced into an untimely retirement as he believes he still has the capabilities to do more.

According to him, a lot of people have tried to retire him but says he has to call it a day and not calls from some Ghanaians.

“Nobody can retire me, a lot of people have tried but I always say to myself that, No I have to call it a day, nobody have to retire”

“I still have something in me and think I have a lot to do on the field because I see certain things that I feel I can still do. I have seen it all, I feel like am gifted because when I’m on the field things that people find it difficult to do I just do it easily. It doesn’t mean I’m being arrogant or something but it something that I have done from childhood”

“I feel like is not a luck but it something that I worked for and something that is from the almighty and so I feel confident when I am saying things” he told Juliet Bawuah in an interview.

Gyan is Ghana's most capped and all-time top scorer with 109 appearances, scoring 51 goals.
