Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie believes the newly installed Executive Committee members will not be careless in leaking vital information to the public.
The immediate past Ex.Co-members were widely criticized for leaking even proceedings of their meetings which were meant to be confidential to the press.
GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi publicly criticized his members for this practice in a rant which suggested some members of his own Ex.Co was working against his administration.
This was one of the reasons that led to certain amendments to the GFA statutes to give the president powers to appoint members of his inner caucus.
But newly installed GFA Vice President George Afriyie is confident the current Ex.Co-members will live up to the oaths they took to safeguard the integrity of the association.
“Sometimes I think it is ignorance on the part of some of the members,” he said.
“Some members maybe are too quick to be the first to offer information to the public forgetting that they’ve sworn an oath of secrecy.
“But I believe this will not be the case with this new executive.”
