General Manager of league champions Wa All Stars Seth Panwum, has taken a swipe at current Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, describing him as one who is not a development oriented.

Vanderpuye’s tenure has come under lots of criticism following his seemingly unpleasant attacks on the football federation.

The Sports Minister’s actions such as allowing players of the Stars to buy their own tickets for their last Afcon qualifier against Rwanda, and also the issue with the players’ bonuses as well as his quizzing of every budget for Black Stars games, raised lots of eyebrows.

”For me I was surprised his constituency made such a mistake by returning him to parliament. He wanted to collapse all sports disciplines in this country. Ghana sports would have come to a total collapse under his watch”, he said.

“He was a demotivator and never helped our various national teams, most especially the female national teams. Just look at what is happening to the Female national teams, he has failed to pay all their allowances owed them, which is a very bad precedent and shouldn’t be embraced at all”, Panwum added.

“Thank God there’s a change of government and I want to believe that things will work perfectly under the NPP’s administration” he continued.

Panwum however is optimistic the in-coming government will ensure the success of sports in Ghana.
