Newcastle United gained automatic promotion back to the Premier League just on Monday evening having thrashed Preston North End by 4-1 but the Magpies are ready to hit the ground running before it’s too late and their first target is to give Chelsea loanee – Christian Atsu Twasam a permanent deal at the club.

The Ghanaian winger signed a five year transfer deal for the Blues from FC Porto in the summer of 2013 for 3.5 million pounds but have not made the playing cut at the Stamford Bridge.

Atsu [25] who won his first senior cap for Ghana [Black Stars] on June 1, 2012 against Lesotho, scoring in the process have journeyed on a five-loan-road since he joined Chelsea.

His loan spell began in the 2013/2014 season with Dutch side Vitesse Anheim before Everton, Bournemouth, Malaga, and Newcastle where he seemed to have found his feet.

According to sources, Newcastle United have a buy-option on the Ghanaian international and they only have one week after the season to trigger the button.

The buy-out option in the 2015 African Cup of Nations Player of the Tournament [Christian Atsu] contract is around 6.5 million pounds.
