New Kotoko CEO to allot GhC500k for players recruitment

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kwame Kyei is ready to allocate an amount of 5billion old cedis for player recruitment by his club ahead of their upcoming league campaign; Kickgh.com has learnt.

The owner of the Unity Oil Company is believed to have made this promise to his outfit and has vowed to parade a formidable side in his quest to aid them to mount a serious title challenge next season.

The business mogul has pledged to beef up the squad of the Kumasi-based club and is ready to dole out such a huge amount in his attempt to conquer Africa in his first term in office.

Players targeted by the 23-time league champions are Kwesi Donsu of Medeama SC, Liberty Professionals' Latif Blessing and Wafa youngster Gideon Waja and all could be on their way to Kumasi regarding their transfer move.

The source closer to the club hinted Kickgh.com: "Yes, Doctor is ready to give the said amount of money for recruitment of players. He made this promise in his attempt to cushion the club to restore its glory in Africa football competition. Some of our targeted players will definitely be snatch by our side when we receive the amount from him."

This will come as a major boost for Kotoko fans as they could see some of their wish players in their fold before next season's league commences.
