Netball Association to organize workshop for security services

The Netball Association of Ghana (NAG) will hold a workshop for the security services from 1-5 October, 2012 at the University of Ghana.

The five-day event is geared towards the training of personnel in the security services to raise Netball teams in their various outfits.

Reverend Emmanuel D. Nikoi, President of NAG told GNA Sports the workshop forms part of his outfit’s plans to revive the sport in the country.

Meanwhile, Greater Accra Region has emerged winners of the netball competition at the National Basic Schools Festival held in Sekondi-Takoradi over the weekend.

The capital-based team beat hosts Western Region 25-16 to win the title in the competition that drew participation from teams across the country.

In the third place match, Central Region beat Ashanti Region 23-22 in a highly competitive game whilst Eastern Region and Northern Region finished in that order.
