Nestle Ghana Limited to launch sponsorship fund

Ho, Oct. 14, GNA - Nestle Ghana Limited is to launch a sponsorship fund at the next Milo Games in support of activities of the Ghana Education Service.

A representative of the company, Mr E.N. Ofosu, announced this at this year's Volta Region Best Pupils and Students Award ceremony at Ho on Wednesday. Nestle has since 1995 been the major sponsor of the awards.

The company assured the Volta Region Directorate of the Ghana Education Service of its continued support. Other sponsors of awards worth 50,000 cedis each are the Harry Sawyerr awards for the youngest award winner, Mawusi Hadzi award for the youngest female award winner, and Theodore Adzoe award for the best female student in English Language.

Others are the Kwasi Aboagye award for the best student in practical teaching and the Herbert Alomenu award for the best student in Agricultural Science.

The rest are the Alhaji Seidu Iddi award also of 50,000 cedis each for the best student in Mathematics and Physics and the Francis Agbotse award of 250,000 cedis for the five best students from the Ho West constituency for four years.
