When the stalemate that has stalled the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League gets out of the way, fans of Elmina Sharks and football enthusiasts in the KEAA District, may have the beautiful opportunity of watching matches in the evening at the Nduom Sports Stadium.

Financed by Groupe Nduom President, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the stadium hosts Ghana Premier League side, Elmina Sharks and their female team, Sea Lions. A Facebook post on Elmina Sharks’ page, recently asked fans: “How about getting to enjoy some evening games at the Nduom Sports Stadium this coming season? Keep your views coming…” the post said.

FootballMadeInGhana.com understands that, managers of Elmina Sharks and Sea Lions are contemplating having some their games late in the evening as the facility has floodlights. They believe it could as well boost stadium attendance.

Coordinator at the facility, Phillip Ludd told FootballMadeInGhana.com that, “The stadium is ready for evening matches saying as it has already hosted evening matches like the Nduom Cup match between Elmina Sharks and Ebusua Dwarfs.

“We can play football matches and other activities in the night if only we can bear the cost” he said. The stadium has a seating capacity of about 3,000 but there are plans to make it 10,000.
