The Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina is likely to host the upcoming WAFU tournament.

Organizers are planning to change the venue from Sekondi to Elmina following inadequate facilities at the Essipong Stadium which was selected as one of the two venues for the competition.

Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi who doubles as the President for the West Africa Football Union zone A together with some officials of the local organizing committee (LOC) inspected the Ndoum Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Ghanasportsonline.com gathers the edifice which is the home ground of Premier League debutantes Elmina Sharks could be an option to replace the Sekondi Essipong stadium which is in bad shape.

Owner and bankroller of Elmina Sharks, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom recently fixed flood lights at the venue hence could be another consideration by the organizers of the competition who have scheduled some matches at night.

Meanwhile the Cape Coast Sports Stadium will be maintained as the other venue for the competition.

The WAFU tournament is due to kick start on September 9 with 16 West African countries participating for honours.
