National Cycling Squad for Canada

Accra, April 1, GNA - The National Cycling team has received an invitation from the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) to participate in this year's race series in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Nine Ghanaian cyclists are expected to participate in the competition, which will commence in April and end in December 2007. Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the invitation forms of OCA's efforts to help support cycling in Ghana and across the globe.

The Ghana Cycling Association (GCA) has therefore begun a selection exercise to get the nation's best cyclists to prepare for the competition.

The nine-man team to be led by Charles Johnson, Captain of the team will be sponsored by T.T. Brothers, dealers of Tango Fruit Drinks, Kasapreko and Pens and Plastics companies.

OCA early this year donated two dozens used jerseys of Team Ontario and O-CUP winners to the Ghana Cycling team.
