Nat Asamoah unperturbed by Raja woes

Former Medeama striker Nathaniel Asamoah says he is not disturbed by his unsuccessful five-month stint at Moroccan club Raja Casablanca.

The 26-year-old joined the North African giants in a two-year deal last August following a bright campaign in the 2014-15 Ghana Premier League season.

Before his departure, four games to conclude the season, he was leading the top scorer chart with 18 goals.

"I don't have any regrets for joining Raja Casablanca even though things didn't go well for me in Morocco," Asamoah told Graphic Sports.

"In my five-month stint with Raja, I made money that would have taken me three years to make in the Ghanaian league. I went there when the Ghana Premier League season was coming to an end and Raja were in a period preparing for pre-season so I was a bit fatigued [which affected me]," he added.

Following his below par showing with the Green Eagles, Asamoah fell out with the coach, Rachid Taoussi, which led to his departure from the outfit.

Goal understands the player is currently in talks with Kotoko to make a return to the local league in the second round.
