Nana Agyemang surprised by GFA’s intention to implement CAF Licence A policy

Football commentator, analyst and coach, Nana Agyemang (Abdul Rahman) has expressed surprise about the Ghana Football Association’s determination to enforce a 2011 CAF recommendation which makes it mandatory for all premier league coaches to have CAF Licence A.

Should the Kurt Okraku-led GFA implement that recommendation, it would deprive many coaches in the top football league the opportunity to practise their craft.

In a Facebook post, Nana Agyemang said: “This issue of securing the CAF A Licence is very interesting”, adding: “I’m still waiting for the authorities to tell me what my UEFA B Licence is equated to and on what basis.”

According to him, there are, at least, six other UEFA B-licensed coaches in Ghana at the moment, wondering: “Do we have to take the CAF A Licence?”.

Nana Agyemang noted that Coach Ibrahim Tanko has the UEFA Pro Licence, and, therefore, questioned whether he should take the CAF A Licence.

“None of the experts seem to have the answer”, he bemoaned.
