Irvington, New Jersey -- To the glory of God, the choir of Ghana Calvary Methodist church, Irvington NJ was inaugurated on Sunday, August 17th 2008. Mame Buadi of Central Gospel Church, Gospel Music Star, Music Director and doctoral student at Drew University preached an inspirational sermon on the theme,"The power of Praise."
In attendance were various choirs; Ghana United Methodist Church, Bronx, NY and Ghana Wesely United Methodist Church, Brooklyn NY. Also leaders and members from both churches attended in their numbers to lend their support and also gracing the occasion.
The Association of Ghana Methodist Church Choirs in North America was represented by its President, Brother Bright Amankwah who also helped in preparing the choir and the Music Director Minister Newlove Annan. Rev. Addo-Nartey congratulated and expressed his gratitude to brothers; Bright Amankwah, Association President and Samuel Oteng Nsafoah, GCMC Choir Director for their wonderful work in preparing the choir for the inauguration.
Ministers who attended the service included; Rev. Prince Donkoh and Rev. Osei Kordieh both from Ghana Wesley United Methodist Church, Brooklyn NY. The service was characterized by music and dancing with power-packed prayer and anointing sections for the inauguration.
