The National Amateur Body –Builders’ Association of Ghana has officially launched this year’s Mr. Ghana and Miss Fitness 2012. The competition is slated for the 27th of October at the National Theater in Accra.
Speaking at the launch of the competition at the Branch gym in Accra, President of NABBA Victor Baiden assured the general public that his association is determined to use the upcoming competition to disabuse the negative perception about body- builders in Ghana.
“Body-building is a sport and not a pastime of some riff raffs in society. Body- builders are not criminals and law breakers like many people think. Many have made a career out of this sport and it is our belief as an association that we can change people’s lives through this sport,” Mr. Baiden added.
Three time Ghana and Africa body building champion Kofi Salia popularly known as Asaase is the top draw for the competition but he faces stiff competition from 2nd runner up of TV3’s ‘Ghana’s strongest” Warrior who has vowed to emerge champion of the competition.
