Ghana's Deputy Sports Minister Pius Hadzide has reiterated government's support for the Black Stars B as they intensify their preparations for the 2017 AFCON qualifier with Burkina Faso next month.

The young Minister who visited the Black Stars B ahead of their friendly with the home-based side of Togo in Lome on Sunday afternoon reassured the leadership of the side of government's commitment to support them.

Responding to silent agitations in the local media over his government's neglect of the team, the Minister said despite limited resources in his outfit, they are working assiduously to push the team up.

"Admittedly, because of limited resources, we are unable to do all that we intend to do. Nonetheless, my presence here today to support the team and to motivate them is an indication of government's intent and desire to support the team," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"We may not have done too well in the past, but we are going to forge on, correct our mistakes and move on," he added.

Ghana won 2-1 over Togo at their own backyard to stretch their unbeaten run to 9 matches since they commenced preparations for the CHAN qualifiers.
